The people building QBICON and the institutions behind it.

People

Founders

QBICON was founded by researchers who build the tools the field needs.

  • Subhajyoti Chaudhuri

    Founder | Director

    Subhajyoti Chaudhuri

Theoretical & Computational Chemist, Northwestern University

Theoretical and computational chemist and physicist. First at Yale, and now at Northwestern, Subha is developing state-of-the art theoretical and computational methods to study charge, spin, and energy transfer in complex systems. Subha's research is at the intersection of electronic structure theory, statistical physics, spin dynamics, graph theory, and machine learning.

  • Songi Han

    Founder | Director

    Songi Han

Mark & Nancy Ratner Professor of Chemistry, Northwestern University

Physical chemist and magnetic-resonance spectroscopist. Songi pioneers dynamic nuclear polarization and quantum control of electron and nuclear spins to make the hidden chemistry of life visible - designing electron–nuclear spin clusters for quantum resonance sensing of molecular structure, dynamics, and assembly.

Building a founding scientific advisory board. If your lab works at the quantum–life interface, we want to hear from you.

The network

Built by researchers across institutions

QBICON grows from the institutions and lineages of its founders, and is open to labs worldwide. The list below is a starting point — member institutions will be added as the consortium forms.

  • Northwestern University
  • Arizona State University
